Taking it Up a Notch: P90X
Earlier this month I posted my progress, since October of 2009 I have lost 26lbs on a low-carb diet without exercise.
Since that post I’ve had a few distractions. I’ve changed careers and am still getting used to a new schedule. I’ve worked from home for the last eleven years and now I’m adjusting to working in an office again. So you can imagine that my eating habits haven’t been the best for the last month or so and my weight loss has been stalled.
So I think it’s time to finally start moving my buns. I now have, in my possession, the full P90X workout DVD series from BeachBody.com. It’s been sitting on my entertainment center for a while collecting dust. I’m not going to lie, I’m lazy. I have the hardest time getting started with exercise. Once I get it started I am alright with keeping it going, it’s just the getting started part that’s rough.
I’m turning 30 this year, on June 30′th. The golden birthday. I would love to loose another 35lbs by then, think I can do it?
If anything is going to get me there it’s P90X, the program consists of twelve different workouts designed to kick your butt. The program prides itself on the principles of muscle confusion. The workouts are varied, yoga, resistance, cross training, and military style workouts.
The program also comes with a nutritional plan, I plan to continue eating low carb and add additional protein if I feel like I need it.
I hear this program is super difficult, so wish me luck!
