Low-Carb Halloween Recipe: Cheesy Mummy
Cheese!
I’ve never seen a party without cheese and this is super scary cheese in the shape of a mummy. He’s actually a pretty cute mummy who’s sure to be the most popular guest at your Halloween bash!
Serve him with low-carb cheese crackers, celery sticks, jicama chips, cucumber chips, or carrot sticks.
Low-Carb Halloween Recipe: Melon Brain
Watermelon is a great desert when eating low-carb and this melon brain is a gorgeous, er creepy, way to serve your guests something sweet.
Who said, carving was just for pumpkins at Halloween. Carve a melon for your centerpiece and show off your mad skills…don’t worry, view the video at the end of this post and you’ll be carving like a pro!
Low-Carb Halloween Recipe: Apple Shrunken Heads
I stumbled across these over at MarthaStewart.com and had to add them in to the Halloween recipe madness.
How cool are these little guys!?
The scariest garnish ever, the way the apples age and wrinkle, they look so real!
They’re so cool, they’re not just for punch. I would even go so far as to hang these guys from the ceiling with rope around my table for added decoration.
Low-Carb Halloween Recipe: Haunted Forest Platter
Fresh veggie platters are a must for a great low-carb shindig.
This is one of the coolest crudites platters I’ve ever seen. A spooky forest scene all made from fresh veggies with little egg ghouls.
Awesome! Serve it with bacon ranch dressing for the most delicious of low-carb treats.
Low-Carb Halloween Recipe: Deviled Egg Demon Eyeballs
More eyeballs!
This time made with guacamole deviled eggs. These are so delicious, I make them year-round. I just dress them up at Halloween to creep everyone out.
You might need some green food coloring to enhance the green, but I find I like the gross color the avocado gives the yolk mixture.
This recipe makes 8 deviled eggs, just multiply the recipe out as far as you need to to get enough for everyone.
Low-Carb Halloween Recipe: Zombie Hand Meatloaf
The amazing minds over at Not Martha have put together and amazingly disgusting and real looking Halloween main dish. This is my favorite Halloween recipe this year and it will be the pièce de résistance at my Halloween party.
Here is my low-carb meatloaf which I serve over faux mashed potatoes made from cauliflower.
Visit Not Martha for step by step photo directions on how to make this recipe into a ghoulish severed zombie hand and scare the crap out of your guests when you bring the main dish to the table this Halloween!
