I love tea!
No more diet soda for me, but I’ve been hearing all kinds of great things about all kinds of great teas. In my attempt to kick all artificial sweeteners out of my life, or at the very least, aspartame and sugar alcohols. I’ve had to explore other options in the beverage department. So I’m embracing the world of tea!
Now, I live in Arizona where it’s usually a bit too hot to be drinking tea. At least hot tea, so I thought I would experiment with iced tea. If you can drink herbal tea while it’s hot, why not drink it over ice?
It’s my new favorite beverage and it helps me get my water intake up each day. There are also other amazing health benefits to tea. The stuff is loaded with anti-oxidants and other nutrients. Some varieties even have caffeine for you caffeine addicts! It also pairs exceptionally well with my Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free Brownies recipe!
After doing a bit of research I came across several great recipes for herbal iced tea including this one from Ina Garten. You really can drink you’re tea however you want to!
Here are a couple of my favorite teas:
Celestial has a great line of Zinger teas that are very good without any added sweetener. It may be all the hibiscus they add to their teas, but they’re yummy!
Everything from Tazo teas is delicious, I especially love their desert inspired flavors. Glazed lemon loaf and Vanilla Bean Maccaron!
I’m still experimenting with teas to find my favorite.
